Country Prim & Folksy
The shop is nestled in the hills of Mannington, West Virginia in a historic home, circa 1845. The little house looked as though she needed someone to take care of her and give her purpose once again. We took on the challenge and started that process by mending some of her broken parts and filling her heart with a wonderful selection of country, primitive and folk art items that are just as unique as she is.
We are a family owned business. Four generations of the family and some wonderful friends have helped to make this dream of ours for the store become a reality. We thank everyone involved and you the customer for continuing to come and bring new friends.
We believe in good old fashioned business principles such as treating each customer the way we want treated.
The history of Mannington is rich with stories about buffalo, Indians, oil, the civil war and the house itself has an interesting history. We will gladly share what we know with you and look forward to what you might be willing to share with us.
Some of you might think the home itself is worth the visit. Although the house isn't fancy she does have character. The spindles on the stairway are nice and the steps are very steep. The floors in the bedrooms are chestnut (not wormy chestnut) and oak covers the wall under the stairs. You will want to see what we have inside though!
We have combined our deep love of God, family and country by uniting the products from some of Americas leading craft artists with other popular items for a truly one of a kind shop.
We would like you to think of us first for all of your home decorating and gift giving needs.
We believe you will enjoy our fine products as well as our friendly service.
We ask your patience with us as we continue to mend the place, she is a work in progress. Unpacking the packages we receive almost daily are such a joy because we know this is just the thing one of you will be adding to your home to beautify it or give as a gift. We have dreams to expand with even more wonderful country and primitive items so check with us often.
